Black is Back with Arthur’s Day 2011
Yay, Taio cruz is coming to town ! Guinness Malaysia is organising aWorldwide celebration with Taio Crus, Miss Nina, and many other artist. I really excited and happy and can't wait to see them live!
Detail of the Arthur’s Day 2011 celebrations:
Date: 23 September 2011 which is (Friday)
Time: 6pm onwards
Venue: Speed City KL, Selangor Turf Club
Artist that are performing:
MIZZ NINA
A bundle of infectious energy and catchy tunes, Mizz Nina is Malaysia’s undisputed princess of urban pop. This all-round “it” girl reached a new level of fame with the release of her solo album, “What You Waiting For”, featuring the extremely catchy lead single of the same name (with Colby O’ Donis).
Previously known for her rapping chops as a member of AIM award-nominated group, Teh Tarik Crew, Mizz Nina is a multi-talented artist whose groove-hungry soul and love of infectious beats win over her new fans and collaborators (e.g. Flo Rida on her latest single “Takeover”).
Sleek and sexy, Mizz Nina always turns up the heat with her electrifying sounds of R&B, hip-hop and dance.
KARTEL
The Kartel Made Men are some of the region’s finest hip-hop exponents with their slick rhymes, spitfire wordplay and swagger beyond measure.
Founded in 2010 by Malaysian hip-hop mogul Joe Flizzow, their recently released debut self-titled album featured collaborations with South-East Asia’s biggest rap stars such as Thaitanium and Sheikh Haikel. The lead single off the album, “Who Do It Better”, was one of the defining hip-hop tracks of 2010/2011.
Leading the charge for Kartel at Arthur’s Day will be Joe Flizzow, SonaOne, Take-T (Japan) and Dandee (Thailand). Don’t be surprised if other ‘made men’ made an appearance, as these guys make going with the flow an art form.
SOLER
Hailing from Macau, this Hong Kong based rock duo wow their fans and critics alike with electric on-stage chemistry and stellar songwriting. Their strong bond could be due to the fact that they’re twin brothers, Julio and Dino Acconci. The songwriting? Pure talent.
Their musical style blends rock, soul and folk that works exceptionally well in live performances. Their debut album “Double Surround Sound” stormed the Hong Kong charts and showcased their multi-lingual chops, with songs sung in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Since then, they’ve become a common fixture in the Hong Kong mainstream scene, regularly appearing on radio, TV and print. Soulful, talented and charming, Soler is definitely an act to look forward to.
DJ SKELETOR
DJ Skeletor has been expertly wooing the crowds in Malaysia with his signature set of ‘ol skool beats, personalized remixes and the best in hip hop, R&B and dance hits.
When he’s not making the party people go wild, DJ Skeletor runs his own mix show on the nation’s no.1 English radio station, hitz.fm. His show, clubhitz is on every Saturday at 10pm onwards and draws in two million listeners from all over Malaysia.
His other role as production engineer for hitz.fm sees him producing the sound and visuals for the hit radio station, proving that he is indeed a man of many talents.
Thank you,
Ong Chin Soon.
